Oxfam IBIS changes its name to Oxfam Denmark. Since 2015, we have been a full member of Oxfam, one of the world's largest and most influential relief and development organisations. With the change of name, Oxfam IBIS is strengthening its ties to the international Oxfam community, so that we can contribute even more to fighting inequality worldwide.

We see hunger disasters, increasing inequality and poverty. It doesn't have to be that way. The major global crises are man-made. We can and must correct these crises. Therefore, more than ever, there is a need for a strong Oxfam that works in close cooperation and across countries for a more equal and fairer future for everyone.
Lars Koch
General secretary, Oxfam Denmark

Oxfam is a growing organisation. New independent Oxfam organizations continue to appear all over the world - not least in the Global South.

"Oxfam is a balanced, diverse and deeply professional global network. Together, we work for a more equal world, where people and the environment are at the center. We speak with one voice, because only in this way can we advance our great ambitions", continues Lars Koch.

New strategy: "A just and equal future"

The name change follows our new 2023-27 strategy: "A just and equal future", where we zoom in on four core areas: Economic justice, Climate justice, Transformative education and Humanitarian aid and peace building.
