By Oxfam Danmark
This conference report presents key insights and experiences from the conference ‘A green and just transition for all: can the private sector deliver?’ held by Oxfam Denmark in collaboration with Copenhagen Business School on April 8, 2025.
The program included presentations and panel discussions with experts from the private sector, civil society organizations from Colombia and Zimbabwe, international NGOs and research institutes.
The 250 Danish and international stakeholders who showed up testify to the timeliness and relevance of engaging in cross-sectoral dialogue on how the private sector can help ensure that the growing demand for renewable energy and minerals critical to a green transition does not further exacerbate the global inequalities created by the climate crisis.
The report brings together key points from debates and presentations, with themes around fragmented supply chains, community engagement and co-ownership, and the role of governments as facilitators of justice particularly resonating with us. In addition, the report presents where Oxfam Denmark's future focus will lie - as well as recommendations for continuing to create space for these important meetings and dialogues on climate justice across geographical, social and economic contexts.
